A PROLACTIN, SERUM TEST MEASURES THE LEVEL OF PROLACTIN, A HORMONE PRODUCED BY THE PITUITARY GLAND. PROLACTIN IS PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE FOR STIMULATING BREAST MILK PRODUCTION AFTER CHILDBIRTH.
