BETA-2 GLYCOPROTEIN IgM

A Beta-2 Glycoprotein IgM test measures the level of IgM antibodies against beta-2 glycoprotein I (?2GPI) in the blood. ?2GPI is a protein naturally found in the body, and certain antibodies against it can contribute to blood clotting issues. This test is often used in conjunction with other tests, such as cardiolipin antibodies, to diagnose Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), a condition associated with an increased risk of blood clots. A positive result suggests the possibility of APS, but further evaluation and clinical correlation are necessary for confirmation.
