Submit formalin fixed paraffin embedded Tissue Block. Ship at room temperature. Tissue block must contain at least 10% tumor tissue OR 4 mL (3 mL min.) Whole blood OR 4 mL (2 mL min.) Bone Marrow from 1 Green Top (Sodium Heparin) tube. Ship at 18-22°C. DO NOT FREEZE. Duly filled Chromosome ; FISH analysis Requisition Form (Form 17) is mandatory.

Dysregulation of c-MYC is essential in the pathogenesis of B-cell lymphomas but rarely reported in T-cell lymphomas. c-MYC gene translocation on chromosome 8 is a hallmark of Burkitt lymphoma. However, correlation between c-MYC, BCL2 ; BCL6 protein expression ; gene translocation act as biomarkers in the diagnosis ; prognosis of Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). c-MYC amplification may be seen in myeloid or lymphoid neoplasms and indicates advanced, drug-resistant disease.
