Submit Tissue in 10% formal-saline OR formalin fixed paraffin embedded Tissue Block. Ship at room temperature. Provide a copy of the Histopathology report, Site of biopsy and Clinical history.

Napsin-A along with TTF-1 is a marker of Primary Lung Adenocarcinoma. Napsin-A is more sensitive ; specific marker than TTF-1 in distinguishing lung adenocarcinoma from other carcinomas such as Squamous cell carcinoma lung which is negative for Napsin-A. Primary Small cell carcinoma lung is negative for Napsin-A but positive for TTF-1.
