SARS-CoV-2 Antibody IgG CMIA is a diagnostic test that detects the presence of IgG antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus in a patient's blood sample. IgG antibodies are produced by the body's immune system in response to a viral infection and are detectable in the blood after the initial onset of symptoms or after vaccination. The test works by detecting the presence of specific proteins on the surface of the virus, which triggers an immune response, and allows the healthcare provider to determine whether a person has been exposed to the virus or has developed immunity through vaccination.
The SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Antibody IgG CMIA test is conducted to detect the presence of antibodies against the virus in a person's blood, which can help determine if they have previously been infected or have developed immunity through vaccination. This information can be used to track the spread of the virus in a community, identify individuals who may have had asymptomatic or mild cases, and monitor the effectiveness of vaccination campaigns, ultimately guiding public health policies and decisions.
