The SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Antigen Rapid test is a diagnostic test that detects the presence of specific viral proteins, or antigens, in a person's respiratory samples. The test works by using a rapid immunochromatographic assay that identifies antigens of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in nasal or throat swabs. The results of the test can be obtained within 15-30 minutes, making it a quick and effective way to diagnose active COVID-19 infections. An antigen rapid test is a valuable tool in identifying infected individuals promptly, allowing for prompt isolation and treatment, and helping to prevent the spread of the virus. It is important to note that the test has a higher chance of false negatives than PCR tests and should be used in conjunction with clinical symptoms and epidemiological information to make a diagnosis.

The SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Antigen Rapid test is used to quickly diagnose active COVID-19 infections by detecting the presence of specific viral proteins, or antigens, in a person's respiratory samples. This test is particularly useful in identifying infected individuals who may be asymptomatic or have mild symptoms and can help to contain the spread of the virus by allowing for prompt isolation and treatment. The antigen rapid test is also less expensive and more widely available than PCR tests, making it a valuable tool in countries or regions with limited healthcare resources. However, it is important to note that the test has a higher chance of false negatives than PCR tests and should be used in conjunction with clinical symptoms and epidemiological information to make a diagnosis.
